Stats

Weight: 102kg

Position: Openside Flanker

Teams: Ospreys and Wales

Caps for Wales: 64

Rugby career

Justin has played for Ospreys since 2009, and now leads the team as captain!

He donned the Wales jersey for the first time when he made his international debut in August 2011.

Since then, he has gone on to gain 64 caps, being part of the squad for several Six Nations tournaments and the 2015 Rugby World Cup, as well as two British and Irish Lions tours.

Best bits

Tipuric was a stalwart of the recent 6 Nations, playing a huge part in bringing home the Grand Slam for Wales. In fact, he was on the pitch for every single minute of their five games, and won 97% of his tackles. Good luck getting past Justin.

Justin also appeared in the final test of the Lions tour in 2013 against the wallabies where the Lions won the series for the first time in 16 years.

Fun facts

A blue scrum-cap is Tipuric’s trademark – so you’ll always be able to spot him on the pitch!

One place you won’t find him is social media. Justin is probably one of the only members of his teams that keeps himself ‘off-grid’.
