Canterbury 1-Year Boot Guarantee – Terms & Conditions (United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland)
1. Overview of the Guarantee
We offer a 1-year guarantee (the “Guarantee”) on Canterbury Boots (the “Boots”) purchased on or after [07 July] 2026 from our United Kingdom (“UK”) or Republic of Ireland online retailers or from any Canterbury store located in the UK or the Republic of Ireland. The Guarantee covers eligible faults or breakages that occur within one year of the original purchase date and is subject to these terms and conditions (the “Boot Guarantee Terms”).
Nothing in these Boot Guarantee Terms affects your statutory rights The Guarantee is in addition to your rights under applicable consumer law.
These Boot Guarantee Terms should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions [LINK to CCC website Ts&Cs], including (without limitation) our limitation of liability and governing law provisions.
We may amend these Boot Guarantee Terms from time to time or withdraw the Boot Guarantee for future purchases. Any such amendment or withdrawal will apply only to Boots purchased on or after the date the amendment or withdrawal takes effect. Boots purchased before that date will continue to be covered by the Boot Guarantee in force at the time of purchase.
2. Registering your Boots
To benefit from the Guarantee, you will first need to create a Canterbury account (the “Account”). This can be done by visiting our website, selecting ‘Account’ and submitting the required information.
Once you have created an Account, you will need to register your Boots by uploading valid proof of purchase (such as a receipt or sales invoice) and entering the product details. You must complete the registration process within 30 days of purchasing your Boots.
If you are unable to register within this timeframe, please contact Canterbury Customer Services with proof of purchase and we will review your registration request.
Once registered, your Boots will be covered for one (1) year from the original purchase date against eligible faults or breakage covered under these Boot Guarantee Terms.
The Guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Canterbury may decline registrations or Boot replacement requests where proof of purchase is missing, illegible, altered, or incomplete.
3. How to request replacement Boots under the Guarantee
To request replacement Boots simply:

Contact Canterbury’s Customer Service team within the 1-year Guarantee period;

Provide clear photographic evidence of the fault or breakage;

Provide a brief explanation of how and when the fault or breakage occurred;

Confirm that the Boots were registered for the Canterbury Boot Guarantee;

You may be asked to confirm that:
· Your Boots were used only for their intended purpose and not worn on unsuitable surfaces;
· Your Boots were cleaned and stored appropriately when not in use;
· The damage did not result from misuse, neglect, or deliberate action.
Providing false or misleading information may invalidate your replacement request. Canterbury reserves the right to ask for additional information where reasonably required to assess your replacement request under the Guarantee.
4. Canterbury Customer Service team review and resolution
Once you have requested replacement Boots, you will then need to send the Boots to Canterbury’s Customer Service team for inspection.
Unless otherwise agreed by Canterbury, you will be responsible for the cost of postage and packaging when returning your Boots.
Canterbury is not responsible for any Boots that are lost or damaged in transit when being returned to Canterbury and we encourage you to use a tracked delivery service where possible. Please retain proof of postage until you have been notified of the outcome of your replacement request.
Any Boots sent to Canterbury under this Guarantee will be inspected as part of our assessment process. If your replacement request is approved, Canterbury will retain the Boots and may test and dispose of them as part of the Guarantee process. If your replacement request is not approved, we will arrange to send the Boots back to you.
Where the same Boots are not reasonably available, Canterbury will provide a comparable alternative product or another appropriate solution.
We will cover the cost of postage and packaging for sending the replacement Boots to you within the UK and Republic of Ireland only.
5. What the Guarantee Covers
This Guarantee covers eligible faults or breakages that occur during the normal, intended use of your Boots within one year of the original purchase date.
For the purposes of this Guarantee, an eligible fault and breakage includes:

the Boot stitching or seams coming apart;

separation of the Boot outsole from the upper; and
-
the outsole of the Boot breaking or snapping.
If, following our assessment, we determine that the issue is an eligible fault or breakage and does not fall within any of the exclusions below, Canterbury will provide a replacement pair of Boots.
6. Exclusions
This Guarantee does not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic damage such as scuffs, scratches, fading or colour changes ;
-
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper storage or prolonged exposure to wet or muddy conditions after use, including when Boots have not been properly cleaned or dried before storage;
-
Damage caused by use on inappropriate ground or surface types;
-
Damage caused by modification, alteration, or repair by third parties;
-
Damage caused by failure to follow care and usage instructions;
-
Damage caused by deliberate acts.
These exclusions are intended to reflect situations where the Boots have not been used for their normal, intended purpose or have not been cared for in accordance with our care and usage guidance. We will always assess requests fairly and in line with these Terms. If, following our assessment, we determine that the issue is not covered by this Guarantee, we may decline your request for replacement Boots in accordance with these Boot Guarantee Terms.
7. Limitations
The Guarantee applies for one year from the original purchase date of the Boots. If replacement Boots are provided under the Guarantee, they will be covered for the remainder of the original Guarantee period only. The provision of replacement Boots does not restart or extend the original Guarantee period.Privacy
Any personal information you provide in connection with this Guarantee will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website.
8. Governing Law
These Boot Guarantee Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction provisions set out in our website Terms and Conditions.
